Sonoma Winegrowing

Overview  |  Weather  |  Geography

Making wine from such a delightful place as Sonoma requires technical skill and sound judgment. The skill is in when to pick the fruit, how to ferment it, how long to age it and when to bottle it. The sound judgment is about when to step out of the way, and let nature do its thing. That’s natural winemaking, and that’s at the heart of every bottle of Sonoma Vineyards. After all, everything is already in place, from ideal soils and weather to the intrinsic charm that pervades just about everything here, especially grape vines. The maritime climate, well drained soils and long growing season allows the fruit to ripen slowly and evenly. Vines thrive here; the proof is in the glass.
